Bamiléké live in the west of Cameroun. 100 000 env. Bamilékés would have come from high Epypte. The principal stages of their emigration are: the Tikar plain and the haut-Mbam, the Bamoun country. All did not cross the Noun river, some remained in the Bamoun country and mixed with the autochtones. The Fù chiefs, fo, efo fon (king) were for the majority of the large hunters. The majority of the chefferies start with Ba. They are divided into several kingdoms with the head of which the kings with their court reign.
